My best friend Allison Wilder, my old jump teammate from UCR is on her way to the 2016 USA Olympic Trials. Traveling to these qualifying meets are very expensive so any donation to Allison is a blessing! To make a donation check out her GoFundMe page!
Ten years ago I was first introduced to triple jump as a junior in high school. I continued my undergraduate track and field career at UC Riverside where I improved tremendously (6 feet) and earned 2x-All American status by my senior year. Ever since graduation in 2011, my goal has been to continue my pursuit of triple jump on the professional level. A foot injury in 2012 left me out of the 2012 Olympic Trials. At the time I was devastated, but everything happens for a reason. I have continued to push onward and upward and it has been a long journey, but I am finally back to being healthy enough to continue a high level of training!
Why I need your Help:
Currently, I am a full-time student at The Ohio State University pursuing a Master of Public Health degree while also doing my track and field training six days a week. A key component to being successful in triple jump is meet level repition. I would like to attend several high level meets during the outdoor season in order to qualify. Many of these meets are out of state and would require airfare and hotel stays. As an unsponsored athlete, all of my costs for travel and meet entries are paid out of pocket. I am grateful to have my mother, coaches, past and present believe in my talents to continue to help me in my pursuit.
Any additional help that can be given whether it be monetary or moral support is greatly appreciated. Feel free to share the link as well!
